Please help us support Lindsey and her family as they navigate this difficult time.
As some of you may know, in August, Lindsey had tests performed by her doctor in hopes of discovering the cause of her frequent & severe migraines. Ultimately, the scans revealed that she has a brain tumor, which they believe to be a meningioma.
It has been determined that the tumor is invading the main vein in her head (technically a sinus) and is blocking the blood flow by 90%, so not all of the tumor will be able to be surgically removed. The remaining portion will likely be observed bi-annually and need radiation treatment depending upon its growth.
With the current plan of action she would likely be in the hospital for 2-3 days after the surgery and would need to rest and recover at home for about 4 weeks. That amount of time off work is extremely stressful for someone in the service industry - meaning with Lindsey having to be at home recovering her income is paused for that entire stretch of time. On top of regular life bills and the daily cost of existing as a human, she will now have medical expenses piling up as she tries to rest so her body can heal. Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly towards covering any medical treatments, recovery expenses - or Pangea for their dinner on a random Thursday. Aside from the obvious financial stress, there is also a significant emotional stress of spending so much time away from her clients whom she loves to be with & truly cares for. It’s no secret that Lindsey is phenomenal at her craft in all things that she does, but those of you who have sat in her chair know how much love she pours out endlessly.
Even if you're not able to give right now, sharing this page with others is very helpful and so appreciated. As Joey Tribbiani once said, "A love based on giving and receiving...as well as having and sharing. And the love that they give and have is shared and received. And through this having and giving and sharing and receiving, we too can share and love and have...and receive."
We've created her a FundRazr page - we looked into different crowdsourcing platforms like GoFundMe and a few others, and with this one we were able to set it so that Lindsey gets 100% of the proceeds versus the others that would make her pay the processing fees. If you would rather donate to her directly, we'll include the links to her Venmo, CashApp and PayPal below.
Lindsey cares for all of us & would literally give the shirt off her back for anyone who needs it. Now it’s our turn to show her how much we love her! ❤️
